01. How much will it cost to build my product, and how long will it take?
The cost and timeline of building your product depend on various factors such as your business goals, the scope and complexity of your project, and the size of the team needed.
We operate on a time and materials contract, charging a fixed monthly rate per team member. Tell us more about your startup, and we’ll schedule a call to assess your needs and provide a proposed approach, budget, and timeline that aligns with your objectives.
02. Why should I pay more for you to develop my product when I have other cheaper options?
While cheaper options may seem appealing in the short term, they often come with significant risks that in many cases lead to rebuilding your product.
Our team of experienced product builders follows the Blue Silo WAY (BSW) methodology, designed to guide an early-stage startup from pre-seed to series A and beyond. We prioritise our work in alignment with your business goals, ensuring that our time is spent on the most high-impact initiatives. Partnering with us reduces the risk of costly revisions and provides you with a high-quality end product, supporting your success.
03. Shouldn’t I hire my own in-house team instead of outsourcing?
According to Sequoia, it takes 990 hours to hire a 12-person tech team. We offer a solution to buy you the time you need to find the right team, without slowing down your startup’s progress. Our experienced, empowered product team acts as your initial hires, focused on building your product and growing your valuation. Ultimately, our goal is for you to outgrow us and hire your own in-house team that we help vet and onboard when the timing is right for your business.

04. Do you specialise in any specific industries? What types of startups do you build?
We have a diverse portfolio of over 20 startup partners across various industries, including financial services, real estate, cybersecurity, health and wellness, media, education, e-commerce, and beyond. Our most successful startups operate in the financial services, smart city and E-commerce industries.
05. Do you invest in startups you build?
We occasionally invest in startups that we build, but our billing model is based on a time and materials contract, with a fixed monthly rate per team member. We do not operate under a ‘sweat’ equity model.
06. What happens to my intellectual property?
Your intellectual property is protected through our Master Service Agreement, signed prior to starting work on your startup. This agreement defines the provisions for intellectual property, confidential information, and personal data protection to ensure the confidentiality and security of your information.
07. I am in a different time zone. How does that affect our cooperation?
The majority of startups we work with are SEA-based. Over the years, we’ve fine-tuned our partnership model to set up our collaboration for success. When we kick off our partnership, we set up a virtual office consisting of a suite of tools to emulate the experience of you and your team sitting around one table.
We also have a minimum 2-hour overlap time that allows for syncs, but also gives us the space to work effectively on our own. In the later stages of our partnership, the time difference turns into an advantage when your product is being built 24/7.
08. If I partner with you, will I need to visit Singapore?
No, but we would love to host you. It’s not mandatory, but we encourage all of our startup partners to make the trip for multiple reasons. 1) It’s advantageous to kick off the project together in person so that we really understand your vision and can be even more inspired by it. 2) We find that spending quality time with your team solidifies the overall collaboration. 3) We live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and our HQ sits in the heart of it. We would love to show it off, and we’re great hosts.

01. Will the team recruited by Blue’s BOOST become my in-house employees?
Yes. All members recruited by Blue’s BOOST will become your in-house employees, regardless of the service package you select and the location of where your new team is hired.
02. How does Payroll work?
In the Recruitment and Satellite Office packages, we partner with a third-party compliance and payroll processor that manages payroll worldwide on your behalf. In the Tech Hub package, where we establish an entity on your behalf, we manage payroll via the newly established entity.
03. Where will my team be located?
We have experience hiring team members in countries located in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea, Pakistan, as well as the United States. Based on the roles you need to hire and your tech stack, we will help you select the right service package and location tailored to your needs.
04. Why should I partner with Blue’s BOOST to build my offshore team?
Blue’s BOOST provides services that allow you to seamlessly create an offshore team, without having to learn the ins and outs of the foreign tech market and foreign legislation. Not only do we offer recruitment services, but we also manage human resources, legal, finance, and office operations. We are able to recruit top-quality talent and also set up an optimal environment for the talent to perform.
05. What is the billing model?
In the Recruitment package, we charge a one-time commission for every hired member. In the Satellite Office package, we charge a monthly fee depending on the size of your team. In the Tech Hub package, we charge a one-time setup fee to set up your new offshore entity and then a monthly fee that grows depending on the size of your team.
06. Why should I build an offshore team?
Companies that decide to build an offshore team get access to a broader talent pool, significantly save on operational costs, and gain the ability to support their product during off-hours and holidays in your home country.
