Front End Tech Lead
Job Description
- Understand business objectives and user needs to develop innovative, high-quality, and user-friendly web applications.
- Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code utilising best software development practices.
- Collaborate with back-end developers, designers, and other team members to deliver complete solutions.
- Suggest improvements to existing systems and processes and stay current with industry trends and technologies.
- Mentor junior front-end developers to enhance their skills and abilities.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and tasks, seeing them through from start to finish.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues with web applications and perform unit and integration testing before release.
- Optimise applications for maximum scalability and speed.
- Provide support for production systems when needed.
- Work collaboratively with other project team members, under the coordination of the Project Manager and directly interact with clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 5+ years of professional experience as a front-end developer.
- Collaborate with the product team to engineer, design, and estimate solutions for new feature requests.
- Proficiency in HTML5/CSS3, Javascript, and Typescript.
- Experience with VueJS, ReactJS, Angular, or other production-level front-end frameworks.
- Familiarity with functional programming patterns or languages.
- Strong understanding of agile software development.
- Ability to write and maintain unit-tests, functional tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Product mindset with the ability to balance multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Coach and mentor the front-end team to elevate their technical skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
